ABOUT LUVEX

UV technology without the manufacturer lens

We're building a UV technology platform on four pillars: knowledge library, global manufacturer directory, UV simulator and engineering forum. Vendor-neutral by design — because we don't build or sell UV systems ourselves.

Why LUVEX exists

The problem

Anyone who wants to deploy UV technology — in a clinic, in an HVAC system, in a print line, in food hygiene — gets advice almost exclusively from manufacturers who only know and recommend their own products. The result: designs that follow the manufacturer's portfolio, not the optimal solution for the specific application.

Our approach

We maintain a vendor-neutral knowledge base and an open manufacturer directory. Engineers can compare, read practice cases, run systems through the simulator and exchange experience in the forum — without a sales hand guiding the pen.

Vision

Turn the UV industry into a system where knowledge flows freely and decisions are based on data. Building a better UV system should be rewarded — not having the bigger marketing budget.

Built by an Engineer

Hands-on experience at Hönle AG (UV-LED systems for curing applications) and Nuvonic (UV-C disinfection with low-pressure lamps). From that practice comes the observation that shapes LUVEX: engineers have a huge need for vendor-neutral UV consulting — and it barely exists in the industry. LUVEX is the attempt to change that.

How we work

Vendor-neutral

We don't manufacture or sell UV systems. Our monetization comes from manufacturer listings in the directory, not from per-sale referral commissions. Atlas content is not manufacturer-branded.

Privacy by design

Core components in Germany — database, application, file storage, simulator. No behavior tracking, no ad pixels, no data sales. External components (email delivery, login OAuth) transparently documented.

Knowledge-first

Anyone trying to understand an application doesn't come to us for a sales pitch but for wavelength action spectra, D-values and measurement methods. The knowledge base is the platform — everything else builds on it.

Got a concrete UV question?

We help independently — be it system design, manufacturer comparison or standards clarification. Ask in the forum or write to us directly.
